Hi ! friends i have the avg antivirus free edition and i want to know whether it can find all the viruses . i tried the norton 2006 edition and it uses a lot of system resourses and so my system became slower . so i am continuing to use my avg free edition . i want to know if iam safe with avg . if there is any other good antivirus which does not use so much of system resourses then plzzz suggest.

You can try Computer Associates EZ Trust Anti-virus. It provides for cleaning of all the viruses in your system and also doesn't slow the system down that much. Remember when you are doing a scan using an anti-virus, the system will slow down a bit as the processor is engaged in the anti-virus product and may not be able to give its time to other work.
AVG although free cannot remove all the viruses. If you want another type of freeware removal tool, then go to microsoft and use the malware removal tool. It's good. The link is listed in the sources area.
You can use the link and from there go to the malware removal tool page. The tool isn't a replacement for an anti-virus product. You could also use Windows Live Safety Scanner. it cleans and removes virus and spyware, cleans registry and defragments the disk.
