AVG antivirus gets stuck at scanned object 6873?

Hi,

I have AVG antivirus free addition. Recently I also installed Avira anti virus. Avira keeps detecting a threat which keeps recurring despite the fact I keep deleting the file. In order to check that this is in fact a virus I ran AVG, however, it doesn't ever finish the scan, instead it always gets stuck indefinately after scanned object 6873 - the time keeps running but it doesn't progress. I also can't stop or pause the scan to exit the program. Any ideas whats up?

you should only run1 anti virus program,running 2 can cause conflicts.Decide which one you want and delete the other.

Not only should you be running an anti virus program you need spyware and malware protection

Spyblaster.

Run them all and keep them up to date for trouble free browsing.

you must have a virus stopping it (ive had this problem too) download adaware free and run it, then it will delete the virus and it will work again. your welcome
You only need one antivirus. Keep AVG and delete

Avira. AVG is the best.
You could try setting AVG to only scan certain areas of your hard drive. The most likely reason why it's getting stuck on that one file is because it's very large (700mb+).
