My norton antivirus has expired and i want to install the AVG free edition. must i completely delete norton before installing AVG ?

You can not run 2 antivirus program on you computer at the same time as they will conflict with each other and will not work right. So Uninstall nortons before you Instll AVG. ''YES'' completely delete nortons first. remove nortons from your Add/Remove program list, this will remove it all together.
No AVG would work fine even if you didnt uninstall norton..but Norton is really a heavy software your whole system would work much fast and better if you remove it

I dont know but i think its better to uninstall norton first and then install AVG. though there's no problem u can still keep norton even after installing AVG.

I've removed Norton from many customers computers because it slowed them down to a crawl.... It's very badly written with lots of 'pop-ups' and fancy graphics.

they all offer the same thing. i have vista on my laptop and my desktop and on my laptop i have norton and the desktop mcafee. i'd choose mcafee though since it is easer to use. they are also different prices but, they came free with my computers. my desktop is 3 months old and the laptop is one day.
